Peanut Butter Protein Bars

These bars are inspired by the Powerbar Performance Energy Peanut Butter Protein Bars!

Ingredients:

1/2 cup all natural peanut butter

2 tbsp honey

3/4 cup oatmeal (grind it in a blender to a powdery consistency)

3 scoops vanilla whey protein

1/4 cup egg whites

1/4 cup skim milk

Directions:

1) In a saucepan, combine and melt the peanut butter and honey.

2) In a blender, grind up the oatmeal until it has a powdery consistency.

3) Slowly add the oatmeal "powder" to the melted peanut butter and honey mixture.

4) Mix the protein, skim milk and egg whites into one mixture and add to the peanut butter-honey-oatmeal mix.

5) Stir until everything is evenly mixed together.

6) Place aluminum foil onto a baking sheet and evenly spread the mixture.

7) Refrigerate until firm (about 2-3 hours)

8) Optional: garnish with chocolate before serving

*You can also add: almonds, dried fruit and coconut for different flavors!
